ArtsWave Campaign Recap

During the month of March we supported a cause near and dear to all of our hearts in the form of the annual ArtsWave (formerly Fine Arts Fund) campaign; an organization that funds and collaborates with a wide range of local art institutions to sustain our thriving arts community in Cincinnati.

The FRCH campaign week kicked off with a Parisian-style breakfast complete with croissants, french pastries, cappuccino and our very own “Parisian street artists”. Can you guess who is pictured below in these illustrations by four of our resident artists?

Illustrations by Paul Lechleiter, Phillip Freer, Aaron Ruef & Marty McCauleyThanks to D.L. Couch Wallcovering, Louisville Tile, Daisy Mae’s Market and Coffee Break for their generous contributions to this event.

Next up was a lunch event where we all rolled up our sleeves and together painted an antique piano that now serves as an art piece in our lobby.

Our celebration of the arts concluded with a cabaret night that inspired the transformation of our lobby into a performance venue. Singers from the local May Festival Choir as well as a number of FRCH musicians graced the stage to create an exciting variety of musical performances. Nobody is quitting their day job just yet, but putting together an FRCH band was great fun!

When all was said and done this years ArtsWave campaign was a win-win, we raised money for an incredible organization and had the opportunity to collectively participate in the arts while doing it.

P.S. If nothing else, I hope that the dollar signs tipped you off to the fact that Kristi Ward, FRCH CFO, is the person depicted in the illustrations above.
