And……. They’re Off!!

In spectacular fashion, the FRCH activities comittee has pulled off another outstanding company event.

The annual outing to the Keeneland Race Course in Lexington, KY has always been one of FRCH’s most popular celebrations, and this year the experience began on Thursday night with a pre-Keeneland party. The garden party theme  featured a beautiful array of food and a signature bourbon drink. Pre-recorded employee  race videos provided the entertainment, as well as a best hat and best neckwear contest. Marty McCauley did an excellent job spinning the music, and the Mr. Fitzgerald awards ceremony closed the evening’s agenda.

Friday began with two buses being loaded for the 1.5 hour trip. The” reverse raffle” on each bus minimized the drive time. Dawn Slusher, Dina Campolito, and Adrianne Korczynski all arrived at the track with fistfuls of dollars from their winnings. Tailgating provided lunch and more fun for the group, and everyone slowly made their way into the gates for the 1:15 post time.

Keeneland is a beautiful track that was founded in 1935 and was designated as an Historic Landmark in 1986. With the stunning view, lush grounds, and stone architecture, it’s easy to understand why Keeneland is ranked as one of the top ten racetracks in North America!

Even if you didn’t cash a ticket (like me), it was still a great day to spend with co-workers, enjoying the weather and the beauty of Keeneland.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to make this FRCH event such a success!
