Strap Perfect: Trend Update

Last February we saw straps showing up everywhere from fashion runways to furniture design, a trend we dubbed ‘Strap Perfect’. Recently, two retail stores brought this trend to life creating dramatic voluminous spaces through ribbons of natural materials.

Hermès has opened their first boutique on the Left Bank of Paris in the Lutétia swimming pool. The RDAI agency created an unexpected space juxtaposing the classical architecture with organic huts of woven ash wood.

Fashion brand Mulberry has opened a shop on London’s New Bond Street. Designed by Universal Design Studio, the space is light and fully flexible, defined by freestanding fixtures that resemble a linear birds nest.

Where have you seen the ‘Strap Perfect’ trend come to life?
