Sit! Milan Furniture Fair 2010

This week is the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan. This collection of furniture and design showcases the latest from major manufactures and up-and-coming designers.

Because the chair is an iconic symbol for designers, we look forward to seeing the latest trends in seating. Materiality shaping form is the focus for the following pieces, steel allows legs to become impossibly thin and polycarbonate makes seating invisible. Please enjoy a few of our favorites.

111 Navy Chair by Emeco , made from recycled plastic coca cola bottles

Lancaster by Michael Young for Emeco , wood and aluminum

The Invisibles by Tokujin Yoshioka for Kartell

Wire Chair by Nendo, steel

Zuiderzee Settings by Kiki van Eijk, wood and mixed materials

Be sure to check out Dezeen’s excellent coverage of the fair.
