Louis Vuitton & Marc Jacobs Exhibit

On my recent trip to Paris, I was lucky enough to catch a special exhibit at Les Arts Decoratifs. Starting with a peek at the brand’s humble beginnings in 19th century Paris, the exhibit takes you on a journey through the eyes of its founder, Louis Vuitton Malletir, uncovering the history and evolution of the brand, right up until today, where you are immersed in the world of Artistic Director, Marc Jacobs and his vivid imagination.

Portrait of an Artist: Justine Dennis

During a recent trip to Louisville, KY, some friends and I stopped by an art fair in Speed, IN.  The booths presented everything from wooden kitchen utensils, to pottery and paintings. But for me, a collection of colorful and unique hats was the most memorable. As soon as I passed Justine Dennis’s booth, a quirky cherry pie hat made me smile.

When I stepped inside, I was enamored with her fiber necklaces. Before I knew it, my friend and I were trying on everything within arm’s reach.

All Star Store

Using Chuck Taylor All Star footwear (648 pairs!), Converse created a 40 foot long American flag in their new store at 560 Broadway in New York. Not quite a showstopper because of  the interior corner location, it’s still a clever and effective way to grab your attention because of the sheer quantity of shoes.
