Pack Expo International 2012: Processing to Packaging

I attended the International Packaging Expo last week in Chicago, Illinois to gain further knowledge of the packaging process while identifying products and vendors to specify for upcoming projects. Declared as the world’s largest packaging show, more than 46,000 people attended with over 1,800 vendor booths to visit.

Postcards From Europe – Part 2

My Mom always said my postcards may have been pictures of the places I’d been, but my messages were always about what I’d eaten. I love to cook. I love to eat well. And I love to travel and visit with other foodies.
In Holland I stayed with friends, who live in a small village south of Amsterdam, foodies of course. He is the entrée and dessert man, she the queen of salads and all things vegetarian. We shopped, we cooked, we ate well. Read more of this post

The Ripple Effect

On Saturday, March 31st FRCH Design Worldwide along with UC Surgeons, hosted “THE RIPPLE EFFECT” a benefit for Bethany House Services at the Corbett Opera Center in Music Hall here in Cincinnati.  Bethany House provides Housing, Education and Assistance to Homeless and Disadvantaged Women and Children.  Click here for a video of the event.

Postcards From Europe

This year I traveled to two capitals of Europa – Prague and Vienna.  Not just capitals of their countries, Czech Republic and Austria, respectively, but also two of the top PASTRY capitals of Europe and the world!  And CAFÉ (as in coffee) capitals!  Pastry and café go hand-in-hand, as in inseparable.

Toronto Sweetness

The shop that caught my attention and thrilled my senses most on a recent trip to Toronto was a small café on Queens St. named Nadége. Directly across from Trinity Bellwoods Park the area is a wonderful mix of culture and people watching, the perfect place to relax and grab a treat.

It’s Grand

No matter how many times you’ve seen it, Grand Central Terminal in New York never ceases to inspire. At 42nd and Park Avenue, it is the largest train station in the world by number of platforms: 44, with 67 tracks along them.

A Cincinnati Gem

This summer, Cincinnati has added yet another little gem to their list, The City Flea. This past Saturday, I joined a diverse crowd on the corner of Central and Vine hoping to find some interesting furniture for my slightly barren apartment. Although I didn’t find furniture, I found a wide variety of treats. The vendors ranged from homemade granola to consignment shop clothes!
